The Island

We went to Antelope Island the other day... that place is pretty cool! I gave myself the challenge of taking MANUAL pictures and MANUAL pictures only. (Typing the word 'manual' made me realize, I don't really like it. mmaaaaaannn-yyyouuuu-aaaa-lllllllll...It's kind of an ugly word... like 'moisture'.) MANUAL MODE is a scary thing... it leaves you, the driver, in total control... which is good, but a little intimidating. I've done the MANUAL thing before, but not for a whole shoot. I'm pretty happy with how it all went down. Here's what I came up with...

Yesterday, I begged and begged my boys to please do this photo shoot for me.

It was like pulling teeth getting these two growing boys to dunk

OREO cookies in cold milk and pretend they enjoyed it!

NOT!!

Obviously they enjoyed themselves and I am now ranked as a "Cool Mom".

All I have to say to that is DANG RIGHT!!

In this shoot, I tried to pay close attention to detail. Here's what I came up with....

I love how P.'s chubby hand holds the delicate cookies...

Note the drips of Milk on J.'s cheek in the first one... I love that!

We had a lot of fun doing this! I'd do it every day, if it weren't against all I stand for.

(SUGAR IS THE DEVIL!!)
